Privacy Policy

This website is operated by Ember Scientific LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, doing business as Ember Scientific.

When you place an order we collect the information needed to process and ship it:

• your name, email address, and — where you provide them — telephone number and organisation;
• your shipping address and billing address;
• any order notes you add;
• the research-use acknowledgement you give, together with the version you accepted and the time you accepted it;
• shipment tracking details once your order ships.

We also keep the correspondence you send to support.

Separately from any order, if you give us your email address through the update-list form on our homepage we keep that address and the date you gave it. See Marketing and the update list below.

We never receive or store card details. No payment processor is connected to this site at present. Once payment processing is enabled, a payment provider will receive the information necessary to process your payment, and card details will be handled by that provider rather than by us.

The public storefront sets no cookies, and the site loads no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind.

Two things are stored locally in your own browser and are never sent to us as a profile: your entrance acknowledgement, and the contents of your research cart.

We use the information above to fulfil and ship your order, to communicate with you about it, to answer support requests, to confirm eligibility to purchase, to prevent fraud, and to meet our legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.

We share information only as needed with the providers that operate this business:

• Render — website hosting and the PostgreSQL database that holds order records;
• Resend — transactional email, such as order confirmations;
• WooCommerce — commerce and inventory integration.

Payment providers may receive the information necessary to process a payment once payment processing is enabled.

We do not sell your personal information.

We retain order records, and support correspondence, for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil and support orders and to meet legal and compliance, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution needs.

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by writing to support@emberscientific.com. We accept reasonable requests from any customer, wherever you live.

Some records cannot be deleted on request — those we are required to retain for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or transaction-history purposes. Where that applies, we will tell you.

You may give us your email address through the update-list form on our homepage. If you do, we store the address itself, the date you gave it, and the page it was given from — together with the IP address and browser the request came from, kept solely as a record that the subscription was requested. We do not build a profile from it, we do not connect it to your order history, and we do not sell or share the list.

We may use that address to send you:

• new product releases;
• product availability and restock notices;
• documentation updates, such as a new certificate of analysis for a lot;
• company updates;
• promotional messages, such as an offer or a discount.

There is no fixed schedule, and we use the list for nothing else. Messages about your order, and replies to your support requests, are separate: they are not part of this list and unsubscribing does not stop them.

How to unsubscribe. Every message we send to the list carries an unsubscribe link. Opening it removes your address immediately — there is no sign-in, no form and nothing to fill in. You may also write to support@emberscientific.com and ask to be removed. When you unsubscribe we mark the record as unsubscribed and stop writing to you; we keep the record itself so we can show the request was honoured. To have the record erased as well, ask us under Access, correction and deletion above.

This site is intended for qualified purchasers aged 21 or older, and is not directed to anyone under that age.

Order records are held in our hosted database, no card details reach our systems, and administrative access to customer records is limited and recorded.

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date above shows when this page was last revised.
